Overview
When you rub excessively or put too much pressure on certain localized areas of your feet, you can develop a ‘corn’. These ‘hardened layers of skin’ (or hyperkeratosis) are nothing but your body’s response to the abnormally high torsional force during movement. Whether they are soft, hard, or a seed corn, the condition is undeniably annoying and painful. Fortunately, these are nothing serious and can be easily treated with insoles for corn. Such devices not only protect the feet from further friction and pressure but also correct biomechanical irregularities.
How We Test
We selected suitable candidates for this test, specifically those who were diagnosed with either soft, hard, or seed corn. During these trials, the candidates were advised not to use medicated patches or other topical treatments on the affected area. A total of 35 insoles for corn were shortlisted.
Our testers completed 15,000 steps a day to evaluate the effectiveness of these insoles. A total time of 1200 hours, for 4 months, and 50 candidates were put to this test.

Featuring ‘torsion control’ and ‘impact zone gel pads’, the FORM Anti-fatigue insoles provide essential support for corns, calluses, and general foot pain. Since these insoles feel so soft and cushy, one would hardly feel any direct pressure on the affected area. Things to Consider for insoles for Corns
For preventing or treating corn or calluses, the most important task is to avoid repetitive actions that irritate and cause the hardening of the skin. Before choosing compatible insoles, the type of corn must be evaluated by your podiatrist:
-
Hard Corn: These are most often found on the little toe and are hard/painful when direct pressure is applied. The cause of pain (such as tight-fitting shoes, walking with improper posture, or an underlying bone) should be removed first.
-
Soft Corn: Whitish and rubberish in texture. They are usually formed between the toe web spaces and can be odorous and painful. Avoid wearing tight shoes, or instead, wear socks with your footwear if you have soft corn.
-
Seed Corn: It is a type of hard corn, generally formed in the ball of the foot or heel area. Foot deformities, physical activities such as high-impact activities, and work/labor cause repeated friction which can develop seed corn.
Primarily, the best insoles for corn corrects alignment and structural deformities, while also providing ample cushioning for friction reduction. Irrespective of the type of corn, high-quality inserts are undoubtedly one of the best solutions for not only removing the source but also preventing the condition from recurring.
Remember the longer corn(s) are left untreated, the more troublesome they become. Prolonged negligence can also require seeking medical assistance or surgery.
