What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the thick band of tissue (the plantar fascia) that runs along the bottom of your foot, connecting your heel to your toes.

It’s one of the most common causes of heel pain, often felt most sharply with your first steps in the morning or after long periods of rest.

Plantar Fasciitis Symptoms

  • Sharp pain in the heel: Especially when you take your first steps in the morning or after sitting for a while.
  • Pain that improves with movement: It may get better after walking a bit but can return after long periods of standing or when you get up after resting.
  • Stiffness in the foot: Especially in the arch or bottom of the heel.
  • Tenderness to the touch: The bottom of your heel may be sore when pressed.

If left untreated, the condition can become chronic and interfere with daily activities. If you want to dive into treatments or ways to prevent it, I can help with that too.

How Orthotics heal Plantar Fasciitis?

Orthotics reduce strain on the plantar fascia by supporting the arch, stabilizing foot mechanics, and redistributing pressure away from the heel. This offload gives the tissue a chance to heal while making walking and standing more comfortable.

  • Lessen heel pain – Targeted arch support and heel cushioning reduce strain on the plantar fascia.
  • All-day comfort – Custom fit evenly distributes pressure and absorbs shock with every step.
  • Better posture – Corrects foot alignment, which supports healthier knees, hips, and back.
  • Injury prevention – Reduces stress on joints and muscles, lowering the risk of future foot problems.

How Long Until I Feel Relief?

For 80% of patients, relief is immediate as your arches get the needed support.

For others, relief is gradual over two weeks as your body gets used to the support and improved gait mechanics.

Note: At first, wearing custom orthotics may feel funny or even leave you a bit sore. This is completely normal and evidence that the orthotics are working -- and not just gel cushions from a department store.

How long do Stride last?

Stride Soles will last 3-5 years, depending on patient weight and usage.

All custom orthotics come with a 3 year quality guarantee. If the product is damaged within that period, simply reach out to us and we will replace your orthotics, free of charge.
